Tchaikovsky, thus, is forbidden to go
Akhmatova is well and sternly gated
No one will greet Dostoyevsky, oh, no
Tolstoy missed his train (some are elated)
Bulgakov won’t be there at center court
Nor yet his Margarita on her broom
Tsvaetaeva will certainly miss all the sport
Gogol will watch on tv in his hotel room
And is there a point to any of this
Except for a popular boo and hiss?
