Much of life now flows through little screens

News of the day about sad foreign wars

          And of course

Gossip about famous actors and great queens

And advertisements for electrical cars

 

If we are more than Darwinian particles

Whom bishops teach electronically

          Then maybe

“You’ve reached your limit of free articles”

Is a marker of one’s mortality
